Frankston Dolphins Football Club is facing a reported police inquiry and WorkSafe Victoria monitoring, according to a report published by the Herald Sun on 31 January 2026.

The report alleges a “significant” portion of club funds has vanished from club accounts after members identified an “anomaly” in the books that appeared to date back several years, though no specific dates or financial periods were published.

What has been reported

The Herald Sun report said the matter had been referred to Victoria Police and was understood to be at an early stage. It also reported a former staff member was believed to be at the centre of the inquiry.

The report also outlined claims from sources about workplace culture, including allegations of bullying and misogynistic attitudes towards women in management.

A WorkSafe spokesperson was quoted in the report confirming WorkSafe had visited and continued to monitor the workplace to ensure occupational health and safety obligations were being met.

The Herald Sun also reported senior departures, including resignations by the club’s president and secretary in recent days.
