A disturbing video has emerged online showing a group of children and young teens wielding knives and vandalising a Frankston line train.
The footage, originally uploaded to TikTok by user @mikeyvito, depicts approximately 10 to 15 youths — many with bicycles — believed to be aged between 8 and 12 years old. One boy, estimated to be around 12, can be seen using a Stanley knife to slash and tear multiple train seats before peeling off the fabric.

The video was filmed by a woman who confronted the group, warning that their parents would see their faces. In response, the youth holding the knife leaned into her camera and mocked her, while others covered their faces or made offensive gestures.
No other passengers appear to intervene during the incident.
The vision has sparked concerns about anti-social behaviour and youth crime on Melbourne’s public transport network. Metro Trains and Victoria Police have not yet confirmed whether an investigation is underway.
This incident comes as the Victorian Government’s new ban on machetes is set to come into effect, part of a wider crackdown on knife-related crime across the state.

I saw this video yesterday and could see their faces. Their behaviour was appalling. Nobody should live in fear when travelling, and these juveniles need to suffer the consequences of their actions. Somebody could have been injured during this event, and these kids will probably get off with a slap on the wrist. I say boot camp for them. Doing nothing about episodes like this, will lead them to continue these activities. Time for punishment for their actions. Australia isnt a safe place anymore. We arent safe in our homes, in the street and on public transport, so the governments need to act NOW.
