Frankston City Council has unanimously endorsed its 2025–2026 Annual Budget and a new four-year Council and Wellbeing Plan, in a meeting described as a pivotal moment for the city’s future.
Dubbed “Stronger Together”, the $1.7 million support package outlined in the budget marks a record investment aimed at easing cost-of-living pressures across the municipality. Councillors unanimously backed the plan, which also includes allocations for community safety, infrastructure upgrades, business support, and essential services.
Deputy Mayor Steffie Conroy said the budget reflected Council’s commitment to community resilience and inclusion during uncertain economic times.
“We know many residents are doing it tough,” she said. “This budget is about practical support now, and smart planning for a stronger future.”
In addition to the budget, councillors gave the green light to the Council and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029, a guiding document shaped by input from over 1,300 residents. The plan outlines strategic goals focused on health, inclusiveness, and long-term prosperity for Frankston’s diverse communities.
