Frankston City Council has announced that Cam Arullanantham will step into the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer from 19 July 2025, for a period of up to six months.
During his interim tenure, Mr Arullanantham will oversee a range of key initiatives. These include welcoming new tenants to the Frankston Waterfront precinct — the area formerly home to Sofia’s restaurant, the Visitor Information Centre, and the Frankston Yacht Club. He will also continue progressing negotiations with the State and Federal governments over the $50 million Nepean Highway revitalisation project, and oversee the rollout of Council’s Local Support Package to ensure residents receive the assistance they need.
Mayor Kris Bolam said Council is confident in Mr Arullanantham’s ability to lead the city through this important period.
“With so many impressive project successes under his belt, Council has full confidence that Cam will be able to effectively lead Frankston City to advance current and upcoming opportunities,” the Mayor said.
Mayor Bolam also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing CEO Phil Cantillon, thanking him for his leadership and service to the Frankston community.
The permanent recruitment process for a new CEO is expected to commence in the next month.
