Frankston City Mayor Cr Sue Baker has released a message of condolence and unity following the deadly incident in Bondi, Sydney, on Sunday 14 December 2025.
In a statement published by Frankston City Council on Monday 15 December 2025, Mayor Baker said her “heartfelt condolences” were with those affected, and that the city’s thoughts were with “families, loved ones and communities who are grieving”.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the recent tragic incident in Sydney. Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones and communities who are grieving.”
Cr Baker said Frankston City was “a welcoming and inclusive community”, and pointed to “respect, compassion and care for one another” as the values that help communities support each other in difficult moments.
“Frankston City is a welcoming and inclusive community, and we stand together in our shared commitment to respect, compassion and care for one another. In moments like this, it is these values that help communities support each other and find strength.”
