Police allege stolen SUV used in morning attack
A teenager from Frankston is among three youths charged following a violent armed robbery in Pakenham earlier this month, after a man was slashed with a knife during a street attack.
Police said the incident occurred about 9am on 3 November, when a grey Range Rover Evoque pulled up beside a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy walking along Slattery Place. The SUV had allegedly been stolen from an Elwood property earlier that morning.
Investigators allege that two male offenders and a female offender got out of the vehicle and approached the pair. One of the males demanded they hand over their belongings. When the 19-year-old refused, he was assaulted and slashed with a knife. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The younger victim was not physically harmed.
The female offender is alleged to have grabbed one of the victim’s bags before the trio fled in the stolen SUV. About 15 minutes later, the vehicle was seen at a service station on Thompson Road in Cranbourne North, where fuel was siphoned before they drove off.
