Teen Critical After Seaford Shooting

A 16-year-old boy is in a critical condition after a shooting in Seaford on Sunday afternoon. Police say they’re not seeking anyone else at this stage, but investigations are ongoing.

SEAFORD — A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot at a home in Melbourne’s southeast on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a property on Glen Alvie Street in Seaford just after 4.30pm following reports of a firearm discharge.

The 16-year-old was found inside the home with a gunshot wound and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, where he remained on Sunday evening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but Victoria Police have confirmed that detectives are “not actively looking for anyone else in relation to the matter at this stage.”

Officers, including homicide and crime scene detectives, were on-site into the evening as investigations continued.
