Police are investigating a burglary and vehicle theft in Frankston that ended with a truck being found on fire in a local park.
The incident occurred on Friday, 19 April, when an unknown offender attended a property on Franciscan Avenue sometime between 8:00pm and 9:52pm. During that time, a white 2010 ISUZU FRR SPRAY truck, registration XV20YM, was stolen from the address.
At approximately 9:52pm, emergency services were called to Baxton Park following a report from a member of the public about a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, authorities located the stolen truck engulfed in flames.
Police believe the vehicle was deliberately set alight shortly after being stolen. Investigators have released an image of the truck in the hope that someone may recognise it or have information that could assist with the investigation.
