Police are asking for the public’s help to find 67-year-old Gerard, known to many as “Gerry,” who has gone missing from the Dandenong area.
He was last seen about 12.30 am today at the corner of Princes Highway and Gladstone Road in Dandenong.
Gerard is believed to be using an electric mobility scooter. He regularly spends time around the Hemmings Street shops in Dandenong and is also known to visit the Frankston area.
His family and police are extremely concerned for his welfare because of an existing medical condition and because it is unusual for him to go missing.
Gerard is Caucasian, with a solid build, grey hair and a grey beard.
At the time he disappeared he was wearing black trousers, a grey chequered jacket over a black T-shirt, and had bandages on his feet. He was not wearing shoes.
Police have released a photo of Gerard and are hoping someone recognises him or has seen him today.
Anyone who sees Gerard, or has information about where he might be, is urged to contact Dandenong Police Station on (03) 9767 7444.
