The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 pm near Schnapper Point Drive, about one kilometre from shore, when a vessel carrying two people capsized.

One of the occupants, a man, was rescued by another boat and treated by paramedics at the scene. He is reported to have not sustained serious injuries.

The second occupant — believed to be a man in his 20s — remains missing.
