A shark described as being at least two metres long was reported about 30 metres offshore at Somers on Friday afternoon, according to an entry published via the Dorsal shark reporting and alerts platform.
The sighting was logged at 1.55pm on Friday 23 January 2026 by a user identified as “Louise”. The report states the sighting occurred “from water” and that one shark was observed.
