Students at Eastbourne Primary School will soon have greater access to learning experiences outside the classroom, thanks to a $5,000 community grant secured by the Capel Sound Community Group.
The funding, provided by Bendigo Community Bank Southern Peninsula, will assist families in covering costs for camps, excursions and school sports events—activities often out of reach for many due to financial constraints.
In a statement, the Capel Sound Community Group expressed pride in being able to give back to the local community.
“We are proud to be able to support our local community in this way, especially with the generosity of Bendigo Community Bank Southern Peninsula,” said group secretary Bettyanne Foster.
The initiative aims to ensure all students—regardless of background—can participate in valuable educational and social development opportunities throughout the school year.
The Capel Sound Community Group continues to play an active role in supporting local initiatives, with this latest effort reinforcing its commitment to equity in education.
